What do Disney characters, Drug Dealers and Barbara Bush's pets have in common?

They were all the focus of a 1990 animated special called “Cartoon All-Stars To the Rescue,” which was sponsored by the US government and aired across NBC, ABC, CBS, Fox, I think Nickelodeon, and I’m sure pretty much any network airing saturday morning cartoons at the time.

I’m sure some of you kiddies weren’t around or watching TV when it aired. But, you know, even for “anti-drug propaganda” as all the cynics of this day and age might call it, it was pretty cool to see a show where Warners and Disney characters crossed over (this was BEFORE ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit?’)… and Alf threatens to eat Garfield.

BTW… this was bad before you had something other than badly written and voice acted “anime” shows cluttering up the airwaves. Unfortunately… Completely forget about the “drug” issue, and I’m sure this would be completely lost on this generation’s viewers anyway.

I remember this. My parents rented it for us to watch. This brings back memories.

Def way to old for me.

But still, if they had one today, I’d watch it.
