The Prisoner

This. Shit. Looks. Awesome.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Prisoner_(2009_miniseries)

Jim Caviezel, Ian Mckellen, and a plot about conspiracy? Oh, all over my face.

Essentially, it’s M. Night Shymalan’s “The Village”, meets The Truman Show, meets “The Giver” by Lois Lowry.

And I loves me sum Jim Caviezel (even if he DID play Jesus in that gay-ass Mel Gibson hate propaganda movie)

And it’s on Sunday night on AMC at 7pm Eastern Time.

I’m eagerly anticipating this. Anyone else?

I can’t tell if it’s a movie or a show but ether way it looks awesome. I have it in my DVR…

It’s a miniseries. Like “The 10th Kindgom” or “Salem’s Lot”.

They’ll show it in three parts. One on Sunday, one on Monday, and one on Tuesday.

Whoah, that’s quite a tall billing Ryan.

Well, I remember the original Prisoner show.

Well, you remember the original of everything…

Oh shut up and go play your waggle machine.

It originally came out in the 60’s, you know…

And your point? :stuck_out_tongue:

They also did a satire of the Prisoner in Reboot’s 3rd season episode “Number 7.”

Watched it after it was advertised through AMC’s Matrix marathon, I didn’t think it was that bad, but it was a head trip.

I dunno. Much like the remake of “V” I’m not feeling it.

Oh… question… did Rover show up? I didn’t finish the whole thing.

No, I don’t know what that is.

Anyhow, I enjoyed it. Definitely gonna keep watching.

Rover is a giant white balloon that appears to have an intelligence of it’s own and can track down and smother people who try to escape the village.

You can see it behind him in the poster above.

In that case, yes. He came and
killed six’s “brother”
.

Does anyone watch AMC regularly?

Yeah.

At least once every other day or so.

I have it in the DVR but I think I’m going to wait to watch it when the final two episodes comes on tomorrow so I can watch it in one swoop.

A six hour swoop?

maybe. If I can watch The Lord Of The Rings Extended cut in one sitting 3 times, I am sure I can do this also.

That ending was REALLY good.

They seemed to fill in all the major holes (no pun intended.)
The whole deal with 313/Sarah being crazy IRL, Michael/6 becoming the new 2, and 2 shoving the grenade in his mouth and pulling the pin out really made the end for me.
